💡 Tournaments on ChessKid.com are only open to Kid accounts. If you’re interested in playing in a tournament yourself, please visit Chess.com

Tournaments on ChessKid are a club feature and can be created by adult accounts. To host one, add your kid accounts to a club. ChessKid currently offers real-time fast chess tournaments.

For daily site-wide tournaments, kids can join the ChessKid Official Club to see upcoming events. Occasionally, we also host paid tournaments with entry fees and prizes. Check the ChessKid Events Calendar for these events.

How to create a Fast Chess tournament

  • From your adult account click on 'Play' followed by 'Play vs Kid' to enter the Fast Chess area:

  • Click the 'New Club Tournament' button at the bottom of the Fast Chess menu:

  • Choose a club to host the tournament, set a start date and time, enter the tournament parameters, and click 'Create' to finalize the setup:

  • Once created, the tournament will appear on the Tournaments tab on the right side of the Fast Chess menu. This is also where you can cancel an event if needed.

📝 The event will run automatically if the minimum number of players join. As the Tournament Director, you don’t need to view the event for it to start, but you can see the tournament standings and games in progress as a spectator if you’d like.
