What's the difference between a Free account & a Gold Membership?

With a Free membership, kids can play live chess. It also allows them to sample our puzzles (up to 3 per day), play the first 3 bot levels, access beginner content and read our articles. Basic members can access game history for games played within the past month.

Gold Membership allows full, unlimited access to the entire ChessKid.com site and unlocks all of the ChessKid educational features: all of our Levels (with interactive, guided lessons), unlimited live chess, slow chess, all 10 computer chess levels, puzzles, puzzle duels, computer workouts & more than 800 educational videos - with new content added all the time. The game history for Gold Members saves all of the games played on the site.
