Play vs kid
Kids can only play games against other kids who are on their friends list. To learn how your child can add friends, check out this article: (Kids) How can I add a friend?
Fast Chess
From the Kid account, click 'Play' in the left-hand menu and select 'Play vs Kid' to be taken to the Fast Chess screen. Alternatively, you can click the 'Play vs Kid' button on the homepage.
Select the 'Friends' tab (the silhouette icon) to see which friends are online.
Your friend must be logged in, online, and on the same page as you (Play vs Kid > Friends) at the same time to appear in the list.
To find a specific friend, enter their username in the search box at the bottom and click the magnifying glass.
Click the 'Play' icon (the hand holding a chess piece) next to your friend’s username to send a challenge.
Slow Chess
From the Kid account click 'Play' in the left-hand menu and select 'Slow Chess.'
Use the drop-down menu under Play to select the type of game or a specific opening you want to play. You can also check the 'Unrated' box to make the game unrated so it doesn't affect the rating.
Click on the 'Friends' tab to see a list of your friends. Choose which of your friends you'd like to play and click 'Play' to send them a challenge!
