Adding adults to your ChessKid group
Adults added to a group are treated as guardians of the kids in that group, so they should be trusted staff members from your school or program. If you invite an adult at the top level of your organization, they will have access to all groups and kids within it.
Only club owners and directors can invite other adults to help manage your organization, groups, or subgroups.
How to invite an adult
From your Enterprise account homepage, click 'Go to Groups.'
Open the group you want to update, then select the 'Adults' tab.
Under 'Invite adult team members to your group,' use the drop-down menus to choose the adult’s role and, if needed, the subgroup they should be added to.
Enter their email address.
To invite multiple adults, click 'Add another member.'
Click 'Send Invite.'
After you send the invite, ask the adult to accept it. If they do not have a ChessKid account, they will be prompted to create one. If they already have an account, they will receive the invitation in their ChessKid inbox.
How to invite an adult to manage a specific group
To invite an adult to a specific group, follow the same steps as above, but be sure to select the correct group or subgroup from the 'Add to Subgroup' drop-down menu.
You can also invite an adult directly from the group itself. Open the group or subgroup, click the 'Adults' tab, and enter the adult’s email address to send the invite.
Adults who manage a specific group or subgroup cannot be assigned the Owner role.

Coach/Teacher | They have guardian-level permissions for all kids in their group. This allows them to add or remove kids, assign Gold memberships, edit kid account details, view report cards, post group announcements, and more. Their access is the same as an adult guardian. |
Directors | In addition to all Coach/Teacher permissions, Directors can create groups and subgroups and invite other adults. |
Owners | Organization Owners have full control. In addition to Director permissions, they can access the Billing tab, manage the subscription, update billing details, and purchase seats. They can also assign any role to other adult members. |
