How do you invite other adults to your organization?
How do you invite other adults to your organization?
Updated over 4 months ago

Adults added to your groups are considered guardians of the kids. These adults should be trusted individuals who work at your scholastic program or school.

Only club owners and directors have the ability to add other adults to help you manage groups and subgroups, or even your entire organization.

Invite an adult to manage your entire organization

When you invite an adult to the top level of your organization, they gain access to ALL of the groups and kids under it.

  • From your Enterprise account homepage, click on Go to Groups:

  • In the Groups menu, click the Adults tab:

  • Scroll down to the Invite adult team members to your group section, enter the email address of the adult you would like to invite, and assign them a role from the Coach/Teacher dropdown menu:

Role

Description

Coach/Teacher

They have guardian permissions over all kids within their group, which allows them to add/remove kids, assign Gold memberships, edit kid account information, view report cards, post group announcements, and more.

They have the same access as an adult guardian.

Directors

In addition to all the permissions of a Coach/Teacher, Directors can also create groups and subgroups and invite other adults.

Owners

Owners of an organization have full control over it. In addition to the permissions of a Director, they can access the Billing tab, manage the subscription, edit billing information, and purchase seats.

They can also assign any role to other adult members.

  • Once the invite is sent by clicking the Invite button, notify the person to accept the invitation to join your organization. If they do not already have a ChessKid account, they'll be prompted to create one. If they already have an account, they'll receive an invitation in their ChessKid inbox.

Invite an adult to manage a specific group

Adults managing specific groups or subgroups cannot have the Owner role.

To invite an adult to a specific group follow the same steps as before but ensure you assign this user to a specific group or subgroup by selecting one from the Add to Subgroup drop-down menu:

Alternatively, you can go into the specific group or subgroup, click on the Adults tab, and enter the email address of the adult you would like to invite:
