ChessKid reward system

At ChessKid, we believe kids learn best when they’re having fun! That’s why we’ve made learning more exciting with Stars and Gems, our reward system that celebrates effort and progress.

Stars

Stars are learning points kids earn by completing chess-related activities, like lessons, puzzles, or games. They represent progress and dedication, much like stickers on a reward chart.

Stars are earned automatically when kids complete activities such as lessons, puzzles, or games. As kids collect more Stars, they unlock new challenges and rewards that keep their chess journey fun and motivating. Stars can unlock fun avatar items, allowing kids to personalize their avatars and make learning feel even more engaging.

Stars are never lost or deducted; they only increase!

Gems

Gems are ChessKid’s pretend currency, earned through playing and learning, never purchased with real money. Kids can use Gems to get fun extras like outfits and accessories for their avatars.

Gems are earned through lessons, puzzles, games, and other activities on ChessKid. They cannot be bought or traded outside the platform and are only used for fun, like getting outfits and accessories in the Avatar Shop.
