Change your Gold Membership
If you have a monthly or quarterly Gold Membership and want to switch to a quarterly or annual plan, follow the steps below from the ChessKid account that originally made the purchase.
What happens to my old membership?
When you make a new purchase, any remaining membership credit from your current plan (if purchased from the same account) will automatically be applied to the new plan. The new purchase will then replace your previous membership and time frame.
If your Gold Membership was purchased through a third party, such as iOS/Apple or Google Play, please contact our Support Team for help, as these memberships require a special process.
How to upgrade from an Adult Account
Click the gear icon ('Settings') from the menu at the top of the screen.
Select 'Subscription' from theh top menu and click 'See Billing Info.'
Click 'Need More Gold?' on the right sidebar.
Choose the new membership length by clicking on it, then click the orange 'Get Yearly/Quarterly/Monthly Plan' button.
Use the '+' button to select the number of kids you want to purchase Gold Memberships for.
Remember, there is no 'add-on' feature, so purchase the correct number of memberships at this step.
If you have a code, enter it in the correct field before leaving this screen.
Select your payment method and fill in your information to complete the purchase.

How to upgrade from a Kid Account
Log into the Kid Account that originally purchased the Gold Membership and click the gear icon ('Settings') on the left menu, next to your avatar.
Select 'Subscription' from the menu at the top and click 'See Billing Info.'
Click 'Upgrade' on the right sidebar.
Choose the new membership length by clicking on it, then click the orange 'Get Yearly/Quarterly/Monthly Plan' button.
Select your payment method and fill in your information to finish the purchase.
If you have a code, enter it in the correct field before leaving this screen.
