Gold Memberships on ChessKid
You can purchase a single ChessKid Gold Membership directly from a Kid Account. If you need multiple memberships, log into an Adult Account to purchase them and assign each membership to a connected Kid Account. This way, every child gets access to Gold benefits.
A Kid Gold Membership purchase includes a complimentary Parent Gold Membership, but the Parent and Kid Accounts must be connected through guardianship for the system to recognize the link.
How to purchase Gold from an Adult Account
Click 'Manage' in the menu at the top of your home screen and select 'Gold Membership.'
Choose the plan you want by clicking on it, then click the orange 'Get Yearly/Quarterly/Monthly Plan' button.
Use the '+' button to add the number of Kids you want to purchase Gold Memberships for.
Please keep in mind we do not have an 'add-on' feature, so be sure to purchase the correct number of memberships during this step.
If you have a code, be sure to enter it in the correct field before leaving this screen.
Select your payment method and enter your information to complete the purchase.
How to purchase Gold from a Kid Account
Click 'Go Gold' from the left-hand menu.
Choose the plan you want by clicking on it, then click the orange 'Get Yearly/Quarterly/Monthly Plan' button.

FAQs
I didn’t purchase enough memberships for my kids. Can I add more?
Our system does not allow adding memberships to an existing plan. To adjust the number of memberships, you need to make a new purchase for the total number of memberships and the time frame you want, using your Adult Account. Remember to assign the Gold Memberships after your purchase.
Example
If you originally purchased a 1 Kid — 1 Year plan but now want a 2 Kid — 1 Year plan, you will need to purchase a new 2 Kid — 1 Year plan.
What happens to my old membership?
When you make a new purchase, our billing system will automatically apply any remaining membership credit (if the purchase is made from the same account as the original one) toward the new plan. The new purchase will then replace your previous membership and time frame.
If your purchase was made through a third party such as Apple or Google Play, you’ll need to contact their support team directly to make any changes to your account.
I want to change my membership plan from monthly to quarterly or yearly. How can I do that?
You can upgrade your plan by making a new purchase for the desired time frame. Any remaining balance on your current membership will be credited toward the new plan. Learn more about how it works here.
