Gold Memberships on ChessKid

At the moment, ChessKid does not support adding memberships as an add-on to an existing plan. If you need to increase the number of Gold memberships, you have two options:

Option A: Purchase a new plan with the total number of Memberships you need

Buy a new plan that includes the total number of kids you want to cover.

Make sure to make the purchase from the same ChessKid account that made the original purchase. When you make a new purchase, any remaining membership credit from your current plan (if purchased from the same account) will automatically be applied to the new plan. The new purchase will then replace your previous membership and time frame.

If your Gold Membership was purchased through a third party, such as iOS/Apple or Google Play, please contact our Support Team for assistance, as these memberships require a special process.

Here's how to do it:

  1. From the Adult Account that originally made the purchase, click on the cogwheel icon ('Settings') from the menu at the top.

  2. Select 'Subscription' from and click 'See Billing Info'

  3. Click 'Need More Gold?' from the right sidebar.

  4. Choose the plan you want by clicking on it, then click the orange 'Get Yearly/Quarterly/Monthly Plan' button.

  5. Use the '+' button to add the total number of Kids you want to purchase Gold Memberships for.

    • Example:

If you originally purchased a 1 Kid - 1 Year plan but now want a 2 Kid - 1 Year plan, you will need to purchase a new 2 Kid - 1 Year plan.

    • If you have a code, be sure to enter it in the correct field before leaving this screen.

  6. Select your payment method and enter your information to complete the purchase.

Option B: Purchase a separate membership from the individual Kid account

You can leave your current Gold membership plan as it is and purchase a separate 1 Kid – 1 Year Gold Membership directly from the Kid account that needs Gold access.

This method works, though each membership will have its own billing date, which may make renewals a bit harder to manage.

Whenever possible, we recommend upgrading your current plan from your Adult account to include more kids and keep everything under one subscription.
