How to disable a Kid account

Schools can only delete Kid accounts that do not have a guardian linked to them. If the Kid account has a guardian, only the guardian can delete the account.

If the student you want to delete does not have a guardian, follow these steps to disable their account:

  1. Click 'Manage' from the top menu, select 'Groups,' and go to the Group or Subgroup where the Kid account is located.

ChessKid Coach account homescreen with an arrow pointing to the Groups option

  2. Find the student’s name, click the three stacked lines next to it, and select 'Edit Kid.'

  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click 'Disable Account.'

  4. Click 'OK' to confirm.

How to permanently delete a Kid account

After closing the account, to make sure all the data is permanently removed, you will have to contact our Support Team and request to delete your account.

Please keep in mind that once data is deleted, it will be impossible to recover it.
