Can I change my avatar, background, pieces, or board?

Click the cogwheel icon next to your avatar.

Select 'Theme' from the menu at the top, then use the drop-down menu to choose your preferred background. You can preview each option before saving.

When you are ready, click 'Save' to apply the change.

Select 'My Avatar' from the menu on the left side of any ChessKid page.

Select 'Board' from the options at the top. Choose the board you'd like to use. Some boards require a certain number of Gems or Stars to unlock, so make sure you have enough!

To change your pieces, select the piece icon at the top of the right panel, then choose your favorite set. Some piece sets also require Gems or Stars to unlock.

If you have a kid account, click 'My Avatar' in the left sidebar. If you have an adult account, click your avatar in the top-right corner and select 'My Avatar' from the drop-down menu.

Scroll through the customization options, including hairstyle, hair color, skin tone, eyes, clothes, accessories, shoes, and hats.

Select your favorite items, or click 'Random' to generate a fun look instantly.
